Me: Sorry about not posting anything yesterday, I was a little busy...and distracted...
Sage: Now you have to remember what you were going to talk about.
Me: Yeah...hmm...hang on...I'm listening to a pretty song.
Drel: ...it's Finnish.
Me: Yep! ...wait how did you know that?
Drel: I learned a bit of it.
Me: Really?! I didn't know that...
Drel: I'm three thousand years old. When you're that old you get bored a lot. Though technically, I'm not all that old for my species...
Me: ...it must be so weird to live so long...
Drel: Well for my it's strange for people to live as short as you do.
Me: I suppose you're right...
Evrem: *coughs* Can we get back to the topic now?
Me: Hmm? Oh! Right! ...I really like this song.
Sage: *rolls eyes* Focus Silver...
Me: Yeah...Ok! Well today, we're going to talk about the difference between Fairies and Pixies. ...in my opinion that is.
Drel: My guess we're leaving out Faeries.
Me: Yeah, that'd make things too complicated...
Sage: Pixies are obviously small and usually have wings.
Me: Like Tinkerbell. You know, "Faith, Trust, and Pixie dust."
Ren: Wait a minutes...don't they refer to Tinkerbell as a Fairy though? Like if someone says that they don't believe in fairies a fairy somewhere will fall down dead? Shouldn't they say Pixie and not Fairy?
Me: They should, but they don't!
Drel: And this...bothers you?
Sage: A lot of strange things bother her...
Drel: I've noticed...
Me: Tinkerbell is a Pixie not a Fairy. A Fairy is more like a human but to me, I see them as slightly shorter than the average human. They look fairly human but there are a few qualities that make them obviously not.
Sage: Pointed ears for one.
Me: And sometimes they have wings, but not always. A Pixie is like three to six inches or something like that.
Thallus: I don't think you've had any Fairies or Pixies in your stories.
Me: Nope...not yet...well I might have in one, but I've paused that one so in my current or finished ones, I don't.
Evrem: Of course my Dad is a Faerie...which is something completely different.
Ash: Adopted father I should mention...just so no one starts thinking that Ev is a Faerie.
Evrem: Being a Faerie would be cool actually...
Me: But adding them into the mix is confusing, so we're not even going to go there.
Sage: So Tinkerbell is obviously a Pixie, not a Fairy...is there any famous Fairies that you know of?
Me: Uh...Well I guess you could say that the three Fairies from Sleeping Beauty are actually Fairies.
Ren: So sometimes Fairies have wands then too.
Me: Sometimes, but not in my stories. Oooo!! Speaking of stories! Melting Fire is almost finished! I have like a chapter and a half to go until I'm done with it! *squeals in excitement*
Drel: *unfazed* And that'll be like...your seventh finished story?
Me: Yep! Then I get to finish writing Jilara, which isn't going to take very long, then after that I'm going to start Drel's story! It's going to be so much fun!!
Sage: Also rather depressing...
Drel: No comment.
Me: True...it's going to be very sad...but still pretty awesome. I'm just going to go simple and call it Cold Blood, unless I come up with a really awesome name.
Sage: Which probably won't happen.
Zeth: Sage is really looking forward to the end of MF.
Sage: Only because this is maybe the cruelest book Silver has written...
Me: *smiles sheepishly* Yeah...I was pretty mean, wasn't I?
Sage: *glares at me* Yes you were.
Me: *coughs awkwardly* Anyways...we straightened out the misconception of Fairies and Pixies, gave an update on my writing, shared very briefly on my new book...something is missing...I felt like I was planning to talk about something more...
Thallus: Was it that you're considering changing the schedule of the posting day?
Me: Oh yeah! I was thinking that I need some other way to remind me to write a post because now I don't have co-op. I still have school for a few more months it looks like...but I'm thinking that I might move it to Monday...possibly...I'll think about it. Saturday would be nice to, but that'd be tricky because of certain events that pop up.
Sage: We'll talk about it.
Me: Yep. I'll let you know if we decide anything or not next time I write a post. Posting should be a little more flexible now and that could mean less or more posts...never know. It depends on if I have something to entertain myself with or what I'm feeling like.
Sage: She gets entertained pretty easily...she can sit at the mall and watch people walk by for hours.
Me: I haven't done that for a straight hour, but I did it for like thirty minutes one time...it was kind of amusing.
Drel: Half of they time is daydreaming...which is something she does a lot.
Me: I have a very active imagination. :) But that's not always a good thing.... Anywho, it's time to wrap up now. I'll let you know how the ending of Melting Fire went next time. Until next time! ...I really need a consistent way to end these...ideas?
