Pointless Facts Part 2!

Me: Oops...I forgot to look up random facts for today so I don't really have a list of them...but I'll find them as we chat....though I'm sooo tired today...I just got back from running a mile and I know a few of you think that's not a big deal but for me it is. Plus, I had a slight stomach ache and also injured my ankle before I started running so it wasn't fun. :( Because my brain is so dead, I nominate Thallus to lead this post.

Thallus: They haven't even met me yet, Nix.

Me: Right...fine I guess I have to make a profile for you...

Thallus
Over 2,000 years old but looks sixteen.
Species: Unknown...
About: Thallus isn't in any stories. He'd basically like my bodyguard/best friend/listener basically anything I want to be. I tell all my story plans, ideas, and thoughts to him so he knows every secret that is going to happen in my stories. Thallus has the ability to turn into a phoenix but that comes with a price called the 'Phoenix Curse' where every ten years, he bursts into flames and his entire appearance changes but his memories stay in tact. He also has the ability to control a special red flame that is very powerful but he only uses his power if he really needs to.
Appearance:

Me: There we go. Yes, I had too much fun looking for picture for him...but I ended up just basing him off a character from an anime I watched. ;) Ok, Thallus, you're in charge now.

Thallus: Ok, then. Well like she said, we have to find random facts as we go along so we'll just list them out whenever we find them.

Ash: I found a rather creepy one: When a person dies, their hearing is the last to go. First senses to go are their touch and sight.

Ria: ...well that's lovely...so they can hear you talking to them just before they die...can we have a happier fact?

Sage: Well this one isn't any better but I found it interesting and it is kind of useful if it's true: The colder the room is you're sleeping it, the better chance of you having a bad dream. ...which explains a few things for me...

Me: ...ah...I get it...

Ash: I don't...

Me: Think about it...cold...who loves the cold.

Sage: *shoots me a glare*

Me: Sorry, I'm done now...

Thallus: My room is usually really warm anyways so I don't have to worry about anything.

Zeth: I found one that Sage will like: Left handed people might have an advantage at video games.

Sage: *chuckles*

Naem: So that explains it!! Evrem are you left handed too?

Evrem: Probably. I don't really know actually because Silver hasn't decided. ;)

Aerista: I found a helpfully tip while camping: Mosquitoes are attracted to the color blue more than any other color.

Ren: In that case, I'm never going to wear blue outside again.

Evrem: *chuckles* How about this one: During your lifetime, you'll eat about 60,000 pounds of food. That's the weight of about six elephants.

Bria: Well that's...lovely to know...I think I was better off not knowing that...

Ash: This one is random: The enemy pigs in Angry Birds were inspired by the swine flu.

Thallus: Ok, I just had to say this one: Two out of every five people marry their first love. *smirks*

Me: *giggles* I'm pretty sure there will be no comments on that one.

Ria: I found another one about mosquitoes: They can fly through raindrops without getting hit. ...though that doesn't really make to much sense...

Seff: A wedding ring goes on the left hand because it's the only finger with a vein that connects to your heart. I've been always wondering why it's the left hand, and now I know. This is actually quite fun!

Slade: Blind people can see in their dreams. I mean, it makes sense but I bet you've never really thought about it.

Sage: *smirks* An average woman stares in the mirror 38 times a day.

Me: ...well I know I don't do that...

Ash: ......I found another one that just gives me the creeps.

Thallus: Which isn't unexpected because Ash just loves creepy things. ;P

Ash: When you wake up around 2-3am without any reason, there is an 80% chance that someone is staring at you.

Me: ......*cough* That was disturbing.

Naem: It's impossible to say the sentence "Good eye might." without sounding Australian.

Zeth: Well if you try a few times, you probably will be able to.

Seff: Blue eyes are most sensitive to light, while brown eyes are least sensitive.

Thallus: This is rather disgusting but  if coloring wasn't added to Coco-Cola, it'd be green...

Evrem: I kind of want to try that...

Sage: Of course you do...

Thallus: Ok, a few more because it's just about time to go.

Aerista: If a person cries and the first drop comes from the right eye it's from happiness, but when it comes from the left it's from pain.

Ria: Laughing for 15 seconds adds 2 days to your life span.

Thallus: 15 seconds is a long time if you think about it...I don't think there are many people who laugh that long.

Sage: *chuckles* Every minute, 40 people are sent to the hospital because of dog bites.

Naem: *laughs* Ok this one is just sad: there are 84 people in the USA who are named LOL.

Me: I find this one interesting: The average guy with cry 6 times a year but a woman will cry between 30 and 64 times! ...women are so emotional.

Seff: Ah but wait, I found another one that says that men and women experience the same amount of emotions but women show it more.

Me: Ah, that makes sense. Ok! We should wrap it up now because I have to go.

Ria: This is fun!

Thallus: I sense a part 3 coming up. :)

Me: We'll see. See everyone next week! Post a comment of a random fact you know and I might add it onto part 3 if I decide to make another one of these.

Ja!

Pointless Facts

Me: AGH! I got so focused at finding things for today's post that I forgot that I actually needed to write it! *facepalm*

Sage: But anyways, Silver actually has a topic for us which is quite amazing in itself.

Me: Oh be quiet. It's just that I usually never think about the post until the day of, but this time I thought about it right after I posted the last one.

Ash: Of course she never actually started looking for things until the day of...

Me: I kept forgetting! Oh whatever, the fact is, that I actually have a topic and I'm proud of myself.

Ria: You might want to tell them what that topic is... *smiles*

Me: Whoops! That'd be important. The topic for today is pointless facts that you know but don't really benefit you in any way. So basically we'll just talk about a few facts that we know of. The first fact is that one of the asteroids in Star Wars is actually a potato.

Naem: *whispers* You have no idea how long it took her to figure out how to spell potato.

Me: I heard that! I was writing it down and for some reason it just wasn't looking right...I was kind of tired that day too so that might have been it...

Sage: You use that excuse a lot.

Me: *ignores Sage* Anyways, I don't really remember which movie the potato is in but it might be in like the fourth one when they go into the asteroid field...but even still, I can't really pick out which one it is.

Naem: Oooo! I have another random fact! If you type "Google gravity" and then click "I'm feeling lucky" on Google, the page will loose it's gravity and you can play around with it!

Evrem: Really?!

Me: Yeah, I actually did it and it works! It's really random...

Evrem: Just like if you type it "Where is Chuck Norris" and click "I'm feeling lucky." :P Try it, it's pretty funny.

Me: There's probably a lot of other things that you can do like that, but I only know those two. Hey, if you know another funny thing that you can do with Google search, tell us in the comments!

Zeth: If you notice, it sends you to a completely different website when you enter those.

Naem: Yeah, but it looks just like Google. Next pointless fact!

Sage: In a typical lifetime we spend over 6 years dreaming.

Me: ...that's just scary to think about...I've never had an all-nighter and I don't really want to...though I got really close to one this new years when I stayed up until 4:00...latest I've ever stayed up and considering on how I wake up at 6:00 every morning, I only had to stay awake for two more hours and that would count as an all nighter.

Ash: Obviously you slept in later than usual.

Me: Yeah...I woke up at 8:00...but that's still only like four hours of sleep. ACK! Almost time to leave! I have to write faster! Next fact!

Seff: Giraffes are unable to cough.

Evrem: ...really? Wow, I feel sorry for them...that's really strange. I knew that their tongues were like a foot but I didn't know that.

Me: Oo! I remember when we went to that Zoo once and we got to feed the giraffes crackers and their tongues would stick out! They're like this dark blueish-purple color and it's really weird looking! Anyways, next fact!

Evrem: The Average person laughs 15 times a day.

Zeth: ...I guess that means Sage isn't average. ;P

Sage: I'm going to ignore that comment.

Me: I know I probably laugh more than that...depending on the day actually...some days I don't laugh at all.

Slade: That's because you're either doing schoolwork, reading, or on your computer.

Me: I think that applies to people who go to school or are around people more often than I am. XP And no, that doesn't mean I'm antisocial! I am pretty social, I'm just not around people that much.

Ria: I don't remember if this is true, but it's said that a duck's quack doesn't echo.

Naem: Hey! I think Mythbusters did a episode about that...but I don't think I finished it...so we'll have to put a maybe on that.

Slade: There is a city called Rome in every continent.

Me: I did not know that...but see? It's a pointless fact? Where would this come in handy? ...well maybe a few places but whatever.

Zeth: You might actually use a few of these facts but it's not likely.

Aerista: Owls are the only birds that can see the color blue.

Me: Aerista! I haven't seen you in a while.

Aerista: I've been busy working.

Me: Ah that's right, I keep forgetting you have a job now.

Claythar: You're probably going to have to leave soon.

Me: You're right so lets spit out the last few facts I wrote down.

Syven: most every country's flag uses the colors red, white, and/or blue.

Sage: The MGM lion killed it's trainers after the famous shot was taken of it roaring. We're not completely sure if this one is correct or not.

Me: That's horrible! Anyways, having blue eyes is actually a mutation because the original eye color was brown.

Ria: 2% of earth's people have red hair.

Evrem: The sentence, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." uses all the letters in the alphabet.

Me: And that's all I wrote down! A few of these I found on Pinterest and a few my friends/family told me. :) It's time for me to go now, so we'll see you all next week!

All: Bye!

Distractions and...the arrival of evil

Me: Uuuuuuuggghh! Distractions are sooo annoying sometimes! I'm working on this later than I wanted to because me and my sister had t go track down someone to give an envelope too.

Zeth: It was actually quite the adventure.

Naem: Up the stairs, down the stairs, running around the building, just missing her by a few minutes. Exciting!

Zeth: I was being sarcastic, Naem...

Naem: ...

Me: Yeah, but then I was listening to my sister talk and it was rather interesting until I realized that I hadn't posted my blog post today...I didn't bring my iPod with me either because I still have to get a case for it but I've run into three situations where I could have used it...but anyways...while we're talking about distractions, let's make that our topic!

Sage: ...you're desperate aren't you.

Me: I wouldn't say desperate...but...maybe I...oh never mind. Whatever.

Sage: She's desperate.

Me: I am not!

Sage: But you were about to admit it.

Me: No I wasn't!

Sage: You can try as much as you want but everyone read it and knows the facts.

Me: I didn't mean it!

Sage: Speaking of distractions, this is a perfect example of one. :P

Me: ...........

Evrem: Ha! She totally fell for that. Nice one Sage! * high-fives Sage*

Seff: ...Sage and Evrem working together...it must be the end of the world.

Me: *storms angrily out of the room*

Zeth: That would explain it snowing outside! Seriously, where we live that never happens...ever.

Jafen: Yes it does. It just rarely stays around for more than three hours. Trust me. I've been around longer than all of your.

Slade: ....hmm....he has a point with being older than us...

Jafen: Yep. Both story wise and literal age wise.

Slade: You've been around for almost four years now!

Jafen: Yep...weird...

Slade: I came after you so I think that makes me the second oldest. Though I remember it snowing about two years ago...or was that three? Awhile ago.

Sage: ...two or three years, isn't that long ago...

Slade: Oh whatever, I was just trying to say that it hasn't snowed around here.

Ren: The entire point of this post is to be a distraction. We could even be distracting you from what you're actually supposed to be doing.

Draven: Which means we'll probably try to distract each other from the topic they try talking about or something...

Sage: Speaking of the oldest person age wise, there are quite a few people who are waaay older than you Jafen.

Jafen: Yeah...like all of the villains.

Ash: But of all the villains, Ilus is the oldest.

Sage: ...*clears throat* Anyways...

Evrem: I still don't understand why you don't like talking about him, Sage.

Zeth: ...can we change the topic?

Ash: Why? I'm curious as well.

Sage: There have been a few... unpleasant meetings with him...

Zeth: He also happens to be the master of the assassin guild that Sage was forced into so let's get off this topic. Plus if we talk about him to much...never mind.

Ren: What? If we talk about him too much, what? I'm curious now.

Sage: Drop it, Ren.

Naem: But now I'm curious! Why can't we talk about Ilus too much?

Ilus: If you talk about me too much I have a nasty habit of appearing. *smirks*

Kaeri: *hides behind couch*

Zeth: *quickly darts from room*

Ren: .........oh....oops...

Sage: ...*glares at Ilus*

Jafen: So...er...how old are you exactly?

Ilus: Exactly? Roughly around 3,593, why?

Jafen: .......no reason....you only look nineteen though so why is everyone--

Sage: *clears throat as a warning*

Ilus: *smirks dangerously* Afraid of me? Is that what you were going to say?

Jafen: m-maybe...

Ilus: Would you like me to demonstrate? *slowly raises hand*

Me: *comes back into the room and stops* Uh-oh... *quickly pulls out pen and writes something down*

Ilus: *disappears*

Kaeri: *peaks around chair with ears back* Is he gone?

Jafen: Yeah...he's gone now so you can come out, Kaeri.

Me: What in the world happened?!

Sage: *glares at Naem and Ren* Ask them. *leaves room*

Me: ...

Ren: ...

Naem: ...

Zeth: *slowly comes back into the room* They started talking about Ilus...

Me: Oh... *sighs* Perfect...now Sage is going to be gone for the rest of the day.

Ash: I still don't understand.

Me: ...Ilus has his way of trying to manipulate Sage and forces him to do a lot of things that he doesn't want to do...it's not a good topic to discuss around him.

Draven: Well that was quite the distraction!

Evrem: *chuckles nervously* Y-yeah...that guy was freaking...there was just something about him that was just...

Zeth: Plain evil.

Evrem: Yeah...

Me: I thought we were dropping this topic.

Evrem: Sorry.

Me: Ok, well this must of been an exciting blog post...I think I've had enough excitement for today.

Zeth: If you would have come in a few minutes later, it would have been even more exciting...

Me: Yeah. But anyways, I guess it did work as a distraction like Draven said. Hopefully, he doesn't decide to appear again...but now it looks like I have to go now. Yes! I actually got a blog post up today! Tune in next week! ...and we'll see if I have a topic next time...doubt it.

The Christmas Excuse

Me: Yes I know I didn't get anything posted last week and I'm sure my understanding readers know the reason.

Sage: you're just making excuses now. You did say you would try to post but when next Thursday came and I told you to work on one you said you didn't feel like it.

Me: Hey!!!!! You weren't supposed to tell them that!

Sage: Too late now.

Me: *glares at Sage*

Ren: *clears throat* Well anyways...We had a pretty nice Christmas but nothing too different happened so I can't really remember much actually...

Me: Funny how that is, isn't it?

*a day later*

Me: Sorry about not posting anything yesterday I just got a new iPod so I was kind of trying it out and I spent a little time with my friends at my co-op so by the time I remembered to write it was to late and I didn't have enough time.

Ash: She's actually on her itouch right now.

Slade: And it keeps autocorrecting my name to Spade, which is really annoying!

Zeth: Can anyone guess what we're listening to? Post a guess as a comment below.

Clayth: And guess what? We don't have a topic again today! Wow I bet that's a big shocker!

Me: Claythar stop it!

Sage: He's right though...

Me: *sighs* ...whatever...I'm never really good at coming up with topics though...

Jafen: Just start by thinking over the things you did this week or something that you got for Christmas.

Me: Hmm...well I've been watching a tv show of mine and I'm really starting to like it!

Ria: I think I should clarify that it's an anime she's talking about.

Me: The amazing thing about it is that is probably one of the cleanest ones I've watched! They very rarely swear and there isn't any profanity in it which is also quite unique for an anime.

Zeth: I was very surprised when I realized that there was no 'love interest' for the main character because usually that's a huge thing in anime.

Evrem: Especially love triangles. Man do I hate those.

Zeth: Ditto there.

Aerista: Obviously, Zeth and Ev aren't ones for romance.

Me: Though I have to admit that love triangles are rather annoying at times. Especially when one guy is heartbroken and holds a huge grudge against the the guy. That's mostly in books though.

Sage: But aren't you considering about putting a love triangle in one of your stories?

Me: ... Considering it not really sure if its going to happen yet.

Sage: How about we let the readers decide? Post what you think below.

Ash: It seems Silver wants a lot of involvement by the readers.

Syven: Sadly there aren't too many readers...I think it'd be cool to have a lot of people reading this, that way we get more of a variety of ideas and opinions.

Me: Yeah... Sadly I thought that's going to happen.

Sage: Like I mentioned: It's every writers' dream to be well known.

Me: And I heartily agree with that! *yawn* Wow look at the time! I should be going to bed now. Sorry about posting late again, I'll do my best not to make it a habit. This post might be a little shorter than usual but if I continue I'll probably fall asleep while typing. So see you all next week!
Ja!
