My Bad....

Me: I'm sorry, I forgot completely about the blog posts and school was too crazy to get around to it during the week.

Drel: That's an excuse you seem to use often.

Me: You're not in school anymore so you should know what it's like. Actually never mind, you were a A student and always found your homework easy.

Drel: Yup.

Me: Not fair.

Drel: Well so far it seems like you're pretty much an A student.

Me: True, but it's not easy for me.

Sage: I wasn't even in school for very long. ...wow...that kind of made me seem dumb.

Me: Well you were in a different kind of school....an assassin's school...though it wasn't even a school.

Sage: I suppose we did a few academic classes...but not many.

Me: If I didn't know what the place was like, I would be jealous...but I'm not.

Drel: ...

Me: Oh right! You don't know much about that assassin place do you? Funny seeing as you're brother was involved of it.

Drel: There are a lot of things that Ilus was involved with that I still don't know about.

Me: ...good point.

Sage: Wow, we lasted quite awhile just talking about school and homework.

Me: Haha, we did. That's so weird...but I guess we can pretty much talk about anything.

Sage: Though I feel like me and Drel are kind of hogging the conversations a lot.

Me: Well that's because you two are the most developed main characters in my newest stories.

Drel: What about Death?

Me: ...well...he doesn't really say much. He'd basically just sit there and watches. Besides, many of my characters can't see him.

Sage: Remind me why that is? I'm behind on his story.

Me: People can only see Death if they've almost died, or are about to die.

Sage: Ahhh. ...so I'd be able to see him then?

Me: Yes, because there were many times where you were inches from dying...

Sage: ...yeah...wait...same with Drel?

Drel: ...

Me: Yes...that was when...never mind, bad subject.

Sage: ...dang it, now I'm curious.

Drel: You can probably figure it out if you think about if for long enough.

Sage: ...really? Hmm... *starts thinking hard*

Me: Well anyways, we can't bring Death along until I figure out more about his character and most people won't be able to see him.

Naem: Hey! How can you see him?

Me: I'm his writer.

Naem: .........................right...

Sage: *still thinking*

Me: Then there's Daisuke from my other story but he speaks Japanese so we wouldn't be able to understand him.

Drel: But you write the story in English.

Me: ...so? He's still from Japan.

Drel: *rolls eyes* You're just making up excuses to not bring in anyone now.

Sage: OOOOOHHHHH! I know now.

Drel: See, it's obvious.

*week later*

Me: AAGGGHHHH! I completely forgot about this!!! Well I'll just post it because I won't have any time for another post today. But if I do, I will be sure to do it.

Death and Photoshop

Me: I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. :) I'm sorry I didn't get up a post for the last few weeks, it was rather busy. I had started one though but I hadn't gotten that far on it.

Sage: In case you're wondering about it, here's what she had written three weeks ago:

Me: Well here I am again, and like always, I don't have a topic....big surprise right?

Drel: *asleep*

Me: ....

Sage: There is a bit of good news though. Silver was finally able to stop thinking about that horrible scene with Drel in it last week and he was able to get over it.

Jafen: And now he's asleep for some reason.

Me: Yeah, I'm not really sure why he's asleep like that...

Sage: He probably stayed up until four in the morning again.

Me: Ah! I just realized something! Jun popped up in the last post but I didn't tell you anything about him at all! ...or did I? Ugh, I can't remember. Oh well. Jun come back in here.

Jun: If you say so. I might not be able to participate in many posts though...I do have a job and everything.

Sage: But people might want to know a bit about you for when you do show up.

Jun: Fair point.

Me: So, I'm not going to make a very long profile for him because I still don't have many things worked out for him...actually, I'll just put up a picture of him because I don't know anything about him.

Jun: Heads up, I do look kinda like a girl.

Ren: Yup you do...

Jun: I've gotten used to it though.

Me: Yeah...I didn't get that far, but I was kind of stuck anyways. Though unlike previous times, I do have a topic!

Drel: I bet I know what it is.

Me: ...you probably do...

Drel: It's about that little scene you wrote up, isn't it?

Me: Yep.

Drel: Knew it.

Me: *rolls eyes* So anyways, you guys probably didn't know this but I've been reading The Book Thief and it kept on giving me ideas for different things.

Sage: She finished it last week.

Me: Ah, it was so sad, but I really liked it. Anyways, for those who don't know, the narrator is Death which obviously is rather unique but the author did a really good job at portraying him.

Drel: So naturally, Silver played with the idea of writing a story with Death in it.

Me: It was really fun! I basically just daydreamed about it for an hour two nights ago and wrote up a short little scene. It's a little dark and kind of creepy but I had so much fun with it.

Death Knocks
A figure dressed in a black cloak slowly walked up the narrow steps to the door. The night was cold and wet from a recent rain, making the dark stone street looked like it was stained with ink. The thin wiry hand railing on either side of the walkway was still allowing little droplets of water to slowly fall to the ground. The black door that the figure stood in front of was plan but had two large silver numbers: 34. A thin, pale hand reached up and knocked on the door. The sound was soft but seemed to echo forlornly down the street. There was a long pause as the figure waited with motionless patience until the door opened. The man who opened it, was unshaven and looked rather sickly. His skin had taken on a yellow tinge and his eyes were bloodshot. He coughed into his arm as he studied the strange. His face and skin was unwashed and his hair was thin and stringy.
“Who’s that now?” He asked in a thick British accent.
“Christopher Grahm?” The figure asked in a soft and very calm voice.
The man looked a little taken aback that the figure knew his name but as he opened his mouth to ask a question he broke out into a coughing fit. His sleeve was wet with blood when he recovered.
“Are you afraid?” The figure asked in the same tone of voice, his face hidden by the black hood.
Mr. Grahm scoffed and eyed the figure again, with a haughty gaze.
“I am not. I doubt I’ll even be afraid even if Death comes knocking at my door.” He said with a small nod.
“What an ironic choice of words.” The stranger said, his tone only changing a tiny hint to that of amusement.
The cloaked figure slowly raised his head until his face was visible and Christopher took a startled step backwards as the first thing he noticed was the figure’s eyes. They were as bright and as silver as the moon that sat in the sky behind him. Judging by his face, the stranger appeared to only be in his early twenties with very pale skin. Another startling feature was that his hair was the exact color of blood. Grahm fumbled to grab the door and close it again, but the young man put his pale hand against the wood, keeping it open.
                “I am Death.”
Christopher mouth opened to let out a scream but Death’s hand shot forward and slipped through his chest as if it was air. Christopher stiffened, his face frozen in the scream and a small trick of crimson trickling out of his mouth. Slowly, Death removed his hand, drawing out the soul of Christopher Grahm. To Death, it was warm and soft to the touch but only he could feel and see it. It looked like what people imagined a ghost would; white and transparent but with desirable features. It looked like Christopher but much healthier and also a little smaller. It was also glowing ever so faintly with a white light. The soul’s eyes were empty and stared blankly ahead, a calm look on the transparent face. Death gently held it in his arms, watching as the mortal body of Christopher fell back onto the ground, cold and empty. Christopher had been dying for a number of days now; he had a heart disease but he didn’t even know it. Death made a small motion to the door and it slowly slid shut, locking like nothing had happened. With the soul still in his arms, he turned, and walked away from the door. Death continued walking down the street and slowly, he began sliding into the ground until he was gone. Christopher would be found tomorrow morning, lying dead by the front door as if someone had knocked and he had meant to answer it.

Drel: You really enjoy writing dark stories don't you?

Me: *chuckles* I really do. They're so much fun.

Drel: She's really cruel in her writing...really cruel.

Me: ...yeah, I admit it, I'm kind of a sadist when it comes to some scenes. ;P

Sage: I agree....

Me: But anyways, back to that scene I wrote. I wasn't able to fit it in, but my idea for it is that there's actually a group of people who go by the name Death. They have a special ability that allows them to withdraw a person's soul from their physical body. But this makes them unable to touch someone like everyone else does. Like if they try to put their hand on someone's shoulder, it would just slip through their skin and they would touch their soul.

Drel: Which is probably an unpleasant feeling....

Sage: That's kind of disturbing...

Me: Isn't it?!

Drel: She loves disturbing things.

Sage: Which is in itself, disturbing. :P

Me: So, anyways, I'm not sure if I'm going to start a small series of stories with this scene or not. I still haven't really figured out what they do with the souls and a few other things but I'm going to worry about that later.

Drel: You have a picture of the Death guy in that story, right?

Me: I do! I love photoshop, it's so amazing because I can edit pictures to exactly how I want them to look. He is a little younger than I want him to be, but he still looks pretty cool.

Me: I lost the original picture actually...but his eyes were green and his hair was a less vivid orange-ish color with bits of yellow and brown in it. The clothes and the hood-thingy were actually like a light olive color I think.... I'm getting good at photoshop. I discovered how to make collages and I made one of Ilus and another of Drel.

Me: I still need to work on Ilus's a bit but Drel's turned out amazing.

Drel: Funny how you had enough time to make a collage of me but not write on my story.

Me: ...

Drel: The last time you wrote on Cold Blood was over a month ago.

Me: ... *sighs* Yeah...I'm still kind of trying to figure out what's going to happen...

Drel: Well you better start writing it again soon.

Me: I'll try. It's just a little hard. I'm still trying to figure out how Ilus is going to act when he's a little kid. It's really tricky considering how he acts now.

Drel: *stares out window*

Sage: ...change of topic please, Ilus is never a good topic.

Me: Right. Umm....wow! Look at the time! It's almost time to head home. I told myself I was going to do a bit of Japanese today so I better go to that before I loose my motivation. ;P I will put up another post next week. I'll try to make it a little bit longer. Oh! Also, let me know if you like reading little things that I write because I have a large collection I can use and talk about if anyone is interested. :) Later!

The Silver Order

Me: Alright. I'm back. Drel is not here today because he is really mad at me.

Sage: ...you really need to stop doing things to get him angry like that.

Me: I couldn't help it this time! I can't control what daydreams pop up in my head even if I try hard.

Sage: I suppose you have a point. Still, you should probably go apologize to him when he cools down a bit.

Me: I know...I can't right now because it seems like he'll kill me if I even say one thing to him.

Ash: ...what happened in the daydream?

Me: ...you don't want to know...

Sage: She hasn't even told me about it.

Slade: Drel doesn't easily forgive people, does he?

Me: Nope...but he's had experiences in the past where he learned not to let things go too quickly.

Slade: Ah, that's true.

Ren: Wow, it seems like Slade hasn't been here for a long while.

Slade: I've been rather busy lately with...stuff....

Me: Ah yes, I keep forgetting about you being The Night's Shadow. :) I'm still proud of myself for coming up with that name....

Sage: *rolls eyes* Your proud of yourself for coming up with a lot of things....

Me: True.

Jun: But you deserve to be proud of yourself. :)

Me: Ah! Jun! What are you doing here?!

Jun: I decided to drop in.

Me: But you don't even have a story yet!

Thallus: Hey, I don't either...

Me: ...fair point. OH! Speaking of which, I had a brilliant idea of making a story or lots of little stories where all my characters are in the same story and do different things together. I'd be there too.

Sage: You might have mentioned this before....

Me: I might have. I wrote a small story to try it out and it was pretty fun.

Sage: It was mainly focused on yourself though.

Me: Hey, I haven't written myself in a story yet so I was experimenting.

Jafen: Well there was that quick scene with Sage and I that you wrote.

Me: Ah, true...so I guess I did. Anyways, about the story with almost all my character in it...I don't believe I put it up here.

Thallus: *checks back* Nope, it doesn't look like you did.

Me: Great! Then I will put it up now. :) I don't remember all that's in it actually.... Basically my characters and I form a group called The Silver Order. I came up with that name after I had written this short blip so it's not mentioned in there I don't think....

Strange rumors had swept through the land about a certain group of people that were ‘saving’ slaves. The catch was that the slaves never seemed to turn up again once they had been saved. After a bit of investigation a young girl decided to look into it. She was known by many names and those who knew here didn’t even know which one was her actual name. The most common name that she was known by was Silver. She knew a great many people and after contacting a few of them, she was able to sell herself off as a slave. It seemed a little foolish but she was completely confident that nothing bad was going to happen. As the days passed Silver began to develop a specific character to put on to make the act more believable. Within two weeks, the people who were called the savers of slaves, slipped into the house while her master was asleep. The girl was around twenty and she smiled kindly at her. Silver was completely in character and scooted away timidly.
“Hey, it’s ok; we’re heard to get you out of here.” She said holding out her hand.
Silver didn’t take the hand and stayed far back in the corner. The girl glanced down the hall towards where the master was sleeping and then sat down on the ground.
“I know you probably hate it here and I promise we won’t hurt you. It’s alright.” She said.
Silver hesitated for a moment before slowly taking the girls hand. The girl smiled and drew her to her feet before taking a pair of large clippers from the bag she had and snapping off the chain from Silver’s ankle. They slipped out the back window and over to where a car was waiting. Silver reluctantly climbed into the back and went to the far end of the car. There were four rows of seats but they were all empty.
“I’m Ashley by the way.” The girl said, slipping into the driver’s seat. “There are a few other people we’re still waiting for.”
After only five minutes, two other girls were guided to the car by a woman who was quite older than Ashley.
“We better leave before they realize they’re gone.” The woman said, slipping into the passenger seat and smiling back at the two girls as they climbed in.
The one of the other slaves smiled at Silver shyly while the other seemed more comfortable and held out her hand to her.
“I’m Maria.” She said kindly.
Silver reluctantly shook her hand.
“Tilla.” Silver replied softly.
“Tilla? That’s a beautiful name.” Maria said with a smile. “Your hair is lovely, Tilla.”
Silver smiled and flushed slightly fingering her long blond hair self-consciously.
“Thanks.” She said softly.
Maria asked the other girl’s name and it turned out to be Kat. Silver was instantly suspicious of Maria but didn’t show a single sign of it on the outside. She was usually suspicious though, so she was possibly wrong. Maria just seemed to be a bit to happy for a slave but her cheerfulness soon helped Kat feel more relaxed and they began talking like they were good friends. ‘Tilla’ stayed quiet most of the time and smiled when they looked over at her. The car stopped after about an hour and Ashley and Lily (the other woman) got out opening the doors and motioning them to follow.
“We’re here!” Ashley announced happily. “There are some friends we know in this place and they’re really kind. Here you can wash up and change into clean clothes. If there are any injuries they’ll also be treated. This way.”
The three girls followed Ashley as they were lead into the large wooden building. It looked almost like a medieval Inn and while no one was paying attention to her, Silver began studying the building very closely, taking in every single detail about it and the surrounding area. She continued keeping her eyes open as they headed inside and memorized every hall and turn they came to. After three right turns and one left one, they arrived a large room that had two tables; one stacked with towels and the other with a large variety of clothes. Many cupboards lining the wall and it reminded Silver of a locker room completely made out of wood. The showers were over in the left wall and each had a sliding wooden door for privacy. Ashley and Lily left to let them clean up. The other girls took their time in the shower, enjoying the warm water, but Silver was still on alert and took a short shower before going through and picking out her clothes. She selected a long-sleeved green shirt paired with a brown jacket and a simple pair of skinny jeans. While waiting for the others, she began exploring the room, but found that it was rather boring. Kat was the next one finished and smiled at ‘Tilla’ as she quickly changed into a dark purple short sleeved shirt and dark jeans with a black hat and sweeter. Maria came out last with a deep sigh of satisfaction before she changed into a short black skirt with leggings and a white sparkly shirt. Maria flipped her dark hair over her shoulder and smiled, admiring herself in the mirror. Kat glanced at herself for a moment and smiled slightly.
“That shirt really brings out your green eyes, Tilla.” Maria said smiling at Silver.
‘Tilla’ smiled and looked at herself in the mirror. Ashley returned a few minutes later and clapped her hands.
“My you girls look lovely!” She said, beaming at them. “Now then, this way.”
They all followed after her and led them again through the winding halls with Silver memorizing every turn and door like before. They shuffled into a large room and there were a few men in there talking and sitting by a large fireplace in leather hunting chairs. A few of them stood when they walked in and Lily smiled. She had been talking with them before they entered.
“Ladies, this man, Bart, is in charge of this place and was kind enough to let us use it as a shelter for your kind.” Lily explained, pointing out a man in the front.
He was burly and had a small beard and black hair. He smiled and stooped into a bow.
“You’re most ever welcome, my dears.” Bart said in a thick accent.
Silver glanced around at the other men, counting five in all. They all had a certain look about them that made her stay alert but kept her face looking shy and innocent. Bart motioned for them to sit on a large bench near the fire and they began talking. He tried to get each of them to tell their story but ‘Tilla’ was too shy to say anything and kept her gaze at the floor. Maria explained that she still was a little overwhelmed and Silver couldn’t help but smile inside because it totally wasn’t true. After a while they some how got on the subject of dancing and Bart picked up an old flute, playing a lively tune with it. Maria smiled and in a matter of minutes, Kat and Maria were dancing around the room with two of the other men. Ashley joined in and they were all laughing happily. Silver continued playing shy so no one would ask her to dance and surveyed the non-dancers. There were only two of them and they seemed to be carefully studying Kat and Maria as they danced as if they were evaluating their skills. Maria was obviously light on her feet and graceful but Kat was able to move fast. The dance was over and they all sat back down again. As Bart put the flute away Silver saw his face grow serious.
“Now to business.” He said. “As you are aware, your masters won’t be too happy when they find that you’re gone and we don’t want them to come and find you again, now do we?”
Kat and Maria shoot their heads and Bart continued.
“So, I’ve talked with Ashley and we’ve been able to set up a few jobs for you three that are far enough away from here that you won’t be found.” He said.
Now they were getting to the point. Silver began listening closely, keeping the interest from showing on her face.
“Do we have to travel on a boat to get there?” Kat asked, her face paling.
“No, lassie, you’ll just travel in the car the brought you here. A few of my friends here also have small businesses and they would be willing to hirer you if you wish.”
“What kind of businesses?” Maria asked.
“Melf here owns a tavern and he needs a few entertainers and waiters for his guests. Don’t worry, you’ll be perfectly safe.” Bart said.
Watching his face Silver could tell that he was lying and she glanced over at the one called Melf. He was one of the ones that hadn’t danced and was sitting in the couch, trying to keep a friendly smile on his face, but it looked more like a grimace.
“Taren has a mill that he needs workers at so it you’re fine with a bit of manual labor, he’d be pleased to hire you. It’s not that hard, I found it rather simple myself.” Barat said.
Taren also hadn’t danced and sat there with a slight smile. Silver silently took a breath, thinking through things. It was becoming even more clear that the ‘Savers of Slaves’ weren’t really here to help, but were in it for their own greed and to make more money. She decided to have Tilla ask a question.
“What about our families?” She asked quietly, without raising her gaze.
Bart looked at her and hesitated, glancing at Ashley.
“We’ve already contacted them and told them the situation. They’ve agreed to it and said that you should try your best until you can see each other again.” Ashley said.
Lier. Silver thought. There was no way she was stupid enough to believe that. Ashley couldn’t have even figured out who their families were. Silver’s family actually knew nothing about these little adventures and they lived in a completely different dimension. She kind of had two families though…one was her real family through blood but the other one was more of her really close friends that were so close, they became family…it was a big family. Her ‘family’ knew exactly where she was and what she was doing but Ashley hadn’t told them anything about it. She kept Tilla looking uncomfortable. After a few more minutes of making up excuses that everything would be fine and it was all taken care of, they were back in the car. It was about three hours before they stopped and got out again. ‘Tilla’ had been ‘asleep’ almost the entire time. It was morning now and they had stopped at a large wooden building.
“This is where you’ll all audition to be an entertainer or a waitress at Melf’s Tavern.” Lily said. “He’s a really nice guy so I think you’ll enjoy this job. If you pass you can stay here and he’ll show you around, but if you don’t want to or don’t pass, we’ll head to the mill.”
Silver had seen enough and paused before they went inside, glancing at a tree. Sitting on a limb was a small humming bird with dark green eyes. Smiling at it, Silver gave a wink and a nod before heading into the building. She saw the humming bird zip away into the air and stayed in the path of the door waiting patiently. As Ashley began talking, the doors suddenly burst open and a dark brown griffin burst into the room, Kat and Maria screamed and began running around the room trying to find a place to hide. The griffin snatched up Silver in its large talons and shot from the room. Silver made sure to scream nice and loud until they were high in the sky and out of sight behind the clouds. She stopped and then laughed. The griffin chuckled and loosened its grip, allowing her to climb up to its back, its green eyes shimmering slightly.
“Next time, try not to scream as loud.” The griffin said.
“Did I hurt your ears, Jafen?” Silver said, sitting up and fiddling with her hair.
“A little.” He muttered.
“Well we had to make it believable.” She said, suddenly pulling away the blond wig that she’d been wearing and slipping it into a bag that was strapped to Jafen’s back.
Silver shook her head out letting her dark golden brown hair flow in the wind behind her.
“Ahh…that feels better.” She said, leaning down and snuggling into Jafen’s soft feather.
Jafen’s speed increased and they shot through the air way faster than a car could go. In ten minutes, Jafen glided smoothly to the ground and landed gracefully. Silver slid off of his back and smoothed down her hair as the griffin suddenly changed into a seventeen year old boy with raven black hair. He took off the leather bag he was carrying and handed it to her. They were in the middle of a forest and it seemed like there was nothing around them but as they walked forward, they suddenly passed through an invisible shield and a large mansion appeared in front of them. It was made to look kind of like a castle but without the height. A small black wolf was lying in the grass and it leapt up when it saw them, practically bulling Silver over. She laughed and tried to push the wolf off of her.
“No Kess, no! Get off!” She said, giggling.
Jafen didn’t help and smirked as he watched.
“Kess stop it!” She cried. “Agh, Sage!”
There was a whistle and Kess’s ears perked up. He got off Silver and ran over to a boy, as he jumped down from a tree. Patting the wolf’s head, the boy walked over to Silver and held out a hand. Silver wiped off her face and took his hand.
“You really need to teach him not to do that.” She said with a playful glare.
“But it’s entertaining.” Sage replied with a smirk.
Silver rolled her eyes and they continued up to the house. The door flew open before they could open it and Silver smiled at the boy with yellow cat ears as well as a tail and bright blue eyes. He was rather short but looked a bit older than his height.
“You’re finally back!” He cried.
“Aw, did you miss me Lev?” She asked teasingly.
Lev instantly corrected himself and stuffed his hands in his pockets, his face taking on a bored look.
“No, it’s just that a few people were being bossy and it was getting annoying.” He mumbled, pouting slightly.
“Did you get into Drel’s stuff again?” Sage asked, rolling his eyes.
“No!” Lev said defensively. “…well…only once…but that’s doesn’t give him the right to freeze my tail! I was shivering for hours!”
“Well I told you not to touch it.” Silver said, walking passed him in into the house.
“But he should still get in trouble for bullying me!” Lev whined.
Lev continued complaining as they walked down the hall and a young man of about twenty suddenly appeared, leaning against the wall, his dark red eyes looking straight at Lev. Lev’s mouth snapped shut and he gave a yelp before dashing away.
“How was everything while I was gone, Drel? Silver asked, tossing her bag on a peg and walking into the living room.
“As crazy as always.” He muttered.
A breeze from an open window, slid through his dark, smoky blue-grey hair and he glanced at it, causing it to slide shut instantly.
“Evrem might have gotten into your weapon stash, Sage.” Drel said.
Sage groaned.
“Again?!”
“He was waving around a black sword and I assumed it was yours.” Drel said, opening his hand and making a black bladed sword appear in it.
Sage took the sword and examined it.
“Great, now I have to find another hiding place for it.” He muttered, heading over to a spiral staircase off to the side.
“I better go keep an eye on Lev and make sure he and Evrem haven’t started picking on Kaeri again.” Jafen said, turning into a black falcon and flying away.
Drel watched him leave and then followed Silver through the living room and down another hall. She began telling him everything that happened, and as usual, he didn’t say anything until she was finished.
“Does that mean, I can go break it up?” He asked, a small flicker of interest slipping into his face.
“Not just yet…I’m not sure if Maria was like an agent or something but I’m going to do some research to find out.” She said.
Drel looked a little put off that he wasn’t allowed to go in and ‘break it up’ but Silver know that his definition of ‘break it up’ was to blow it up. They came to an escalator and took it up to the third floor of the mansion. They continued walking down a few halls and then up a few more stairs until they reached a tower and Silver opened the door to her huge room. There were two floors to it. The first had couches, chairs, and plush cushions spread around half of the room with a large TV and coffee table, while the other side had a small kitchen, a desk with chair, and a large white board that was covered in random sentences, quick sketches, and sticky notes. The walls were covered neatly with posters and paints of beautiful and sometimes dark fantasy scenes and the dark crimson color of the wall was hardly visible. This was one of the rooms in the house that was not always filled with people. Silver had to give them permission to enter but they usually had parties and movie nights in here. There was a small spiral staircase that lead up to the small loft area that held her bed, dresser, wardrobe, walk in closet and large bookcase pile with the books she had written. Each person that lived in this house was a character from her imagination but not all had been in a story. Some of them had been from small ideas or daydreams like Lev, while others were going to be in future stories that were still being planned, like Drel. Her laptop sat on the desk and she quickly flipped it open. It was on as usual and she rarely turned it off because she used it quite a lot. Drel hadn’t bothered to ask permission as he sat down in a chair and watched her as she worked. He was one of the most powerful characters she’d created and that made him a little arrogant and slightly rebellious so he was hard to deal with at times. She was able to keep him under control with various threats and pleadings though they didn’t always get along. After he sat there basically staring at her for ten minutes Silver finally stopped and turned around.
“Do you want something?” She asked.
“Not really.” He said a small hint of amusement in his eyes.
“Then you might as well help.” She mumbled.
Directing him to where she kept a few back up laptops she told him the password to one and then let him research a few things. Within five minutes, he’d found and hacked into a secret website betraying information on Maria.
“She’s an actress that usually does shifty jobs and takes on many personalities to make people act a certain way for her benefit.” He read aloud. “Seems to me her job is to calm the slaves down by posing as one herself and keeps them from suspecting anything. She probably is getting paid pretty well so they must make a lot of money of off those slaves. I take it they didn’t mention anything about paying you when they talked about you working for them, did they?” Drel asked, glancing up at Silver.
“Nope. I’m pretty sure they just said that you’d work in return for a place to stay and meals to eat.” She replied with a sigh.
“So can I go ruin their fun?” Drel asked.
Silver hesitated for a moment.
“I have a few conditions.” She said, turning her chair around and crossing her arms.
Drel repressed the urge to roll his eyes and kept his face blank.
“One: no killing anyone. I don’t care if you feel like it or think that it doesn’t matter if they die, you still can’t kill them. Two: Sage has to go with you. Just as a precaution. Don’t give me that look, I know you two don’t really like each other but at least try to get along. You don’t even have to say anything to him if you don’t want to. And Three: Only threaten them a little bit. Once they agree to give up what they’re doing and let all of the slaves go back to their families, you should stop. I’ll ask Ria if she’ll be willing to go along to help the slaves relax and find out if they have a place to go.” She said.
Drel was looking at her with a cold gaze and even though it wasn’t too threatening, she knew that she had pushed the bar a little too much, and sighed.
“I’m only telling you want to do because I want to be careful. Most of these people will be very timid and we don’t want to scare them. They’ve been through a lot and it’s best to make it as easy for them as possible. So, please Drel, try to be nice.” She asked.
Drel didn’t move for a while before slowly getting up.
“Fine.” He muttered. “I’ll be on the porch and if neither of them are there in two minutes, I’m leaving without them.”
Silver watched Drel leave before quickly pulling out her phone. She quickly texted Ria and Sage explaining to meet Drel on the porch and to finish off the mission. After she sent the message she let out a long breath and a phoenix flew in through a window, landing on her desk.
“Well that was exciting.” She said with a smile, stroking the phoenix’s feathers. “I probably should have sent you with them too Thallus, but I’m not sure if Drel would like that.”
The phoenix flew off her desk and suddenly morphed into a boy of Drel’s age but with blond hair and apple green eyes.
“He’s been in a bad mood pretty much all day.” Thallus muttered, sitting on the edge of a couch. “Once he gets back, we better give him some room.”
“Sometimes I don’t understand him.”
“Well you were the one that made him so complicated.” Thallus said with a slight smirk.
Silver let out a sigh and stood up, walking over to the ladder and climbing up.
“That wasn’t the smartest thing to do.” She muttered as Thallus changed into a phoenix again and flew up the ladder. She sat down on the bed and he perched on the top of her wardrobe.
“You look tired.” He commented.
“Riding in a car for four hours makes one sleepy apparently.” She mumbled.
“Then you should probably get some sleep. I’ll hold the fort down while you rest.” Thallus said, smiling vaguely.

Silver slipped into bed, not bothering to change out of her clothes and Thallus turned off the light, flying down the ladder and disappearing as Silver fell asleep.

Me: Yay! Ok, so this post seems like this right length so I'm going to go ahead and end it. :) See you all next week!

Whoops

Me: ごめんなさI completely forgot about the blog post until like right now.

Sage: ....and if anyone is wondering, that weird mash of symbols is Japanese and it says "Gomenasai" which if you remember from before, means "I'm sorry."

Me: Oh yeah, I suppose I didn't say that. XP Well now you know. I have a bad headache right now so I'm going to have to wait until I get home. Plus I need to leave now...so...I'll write a longer one later. :)

Holidays and Stuff

Me: I guess I didn't get around to writing the post that I said I would. Oh well, I remembered today. :)

Sage: Let me guess, we don't have a topic.

Me: Well...not exactly. I have a few ideas for things to talk about but I'll have to think about them a little more. We could just talk about Thanksgiving briefly.

Drel: Oh great, you're not going to ask us what we're thankful for are you?

Me: No.

Drel: Good. That question is so annoying....

Me: Well it is called Thanksgiving. Though I'm guessing that you find it annoying because of how many thanksgivings you had.

Drel: That's fairly correct. Though I usually don't celebrate thanksgiving often. I'm either too busy or just don't feel like it.

Me: Of course...what about you Sage? I know you grew up in a totally different dimension and in a more medieval era so you probably didn't.

Sage: Nope. I only had heard about it an until I moved here, I hadn't completely understood it.

Ash: I guess it wouldn't make since to have Thanksgiving in a world where the Pilgrims didn't exist.

Me: ....now that I think of it, it wouldn't make since to have any holiday in a different world if the people or events that caused the holiday didn't live/exist there.

Drel: I've traveled around a lot so I've heard about pretty much all of them.

Me: And you've probably heard about some that we haven't.

Drel: *nods*

Me: So what other types of holidays have you heard of, Drel?

Drel: Well there was one where they had a celebration each time there was a solar or lunar eclipse. Obviously it didn't happen very often but the parties that were held lasted about a week.

Me: Strange...why did they do that?

Drel: I think there was a large war that ended on that day or something.

Me: Huh...interesting. Ugh...I'm so tired from PE still...ah! I need to write my friend a letter before I forget! There is no co-op next week so I have to get it to her before she leaves. brb!

*Hours later*

Me: Well writing the letter took longer than I had planned and now I'm home so I have no rush to finish this up.

Zeth: Well you have until 10:00 which is like three or so hours away.

Me: Yup so no real hurry. :) I could even make it really long! But I'm not going to because I don't think anyone would like to read a crazily long post. Plus, I'm really exhausted from co-op so I want to take a break and relax for awhile.

Sage: You're always tired once you get home from co-op.

Me: Maybe it's from the ride in the car...it does something to me when I sit in the car for forty minutes....

Drel: ...I've ridden in a car for days almost without stopping and it didn't bother me at all.

Me: That's because you're not human.

Drel: Probably.

Me: So where did we leave off? ...I forgot....

Ren: We were talking about different types of holidays.

Me: Right.

Sage: I've always wondered how Halloween started...I don't know the background behind that so called 'holiday'.

Me: ...actually me neither...and it doesn't really seem like a holiday to me. Some people may think otherwise.

Ash: Valentines Day and Saint Patrick's Day make since because they're after people and there's the obvious Easter and Christmas. But Halloween just doesn't seem to fit.

Me: Actually, if anyone knows the story behind Halloween please let us know. :) I'm sure I've probably been told before but I forget.

Drel: You forget many things...

Me: Hey!

Sage: *cough* Sorry, but it's kind of true, Silver...

Me: *sighs* Yeah, it is...oh well. I don't forget extremely important things so that's good.

Ren: So...anything new with anyone?

Me: Not really...

Sage: Nope.

Drel: ...

Ash: It doesn't look liked it.

Naem: I met a cat today. His name is Jasper and he lives in a tree just down the block.

Me: Wait, the cat lives in a tree?

Naem: Yep.

Sage: And how exactly do you know this?

Naem: He told me.

Me: Of course he did....

Naem: it's true!

Me: Naem, around here, cats don't talk.

Drel: On Malci they do...it's a strange world everything is upside down and unexpected things happen.

Me: ok.... Well this post is getting to a decent size so we can wrap it up soon. Besides, I think I might be getting a small headache. ...either that or I'm just dehydrated again.

Sage: I don't think I know anyone besides you that gets a small headache from dehydration.

Me: It's weird, but that seems to be the problem sometimes.

Drel: What are you going to do after this post?

Me: Hmm...idk. Write a bit on my fanfiction...and listen to some Japanese I suppose.

Sage: You haven't told everyone about your fanfic yet.

Me: Oh right!! So, I'm writing it off of an anime I really like (Ouran Highschool Host Club) and so far it's going really well. I feel so popular sometimes because everyone who is reading it, is loving it. :)

Ren: She's posting it on a site called Quotev.

Me: Over 1,000 people have read it now and 192 have Favorited it! I'm so happy! It was originally just a random thing that I was trying out but it seems that I'm really good at writing fanfics. Who knew?

Sage: She enjoys trying out different characters so the main character is slightly emo but not totally.

Me: Yep. I've tried out all sorts of different character types. Sage was the mysterious, silent type, Drel is the rebellious, dangerious type. Ren is the nice and friendly type, Ash is almost a mysterious but mature(ish) type. Hmm...I can't remember too many other but Drel's girlfriend (Len) is the first hardcore tomboy that I've written. Many of the girls I right are fairly girly and not that controlling.

Sage: Like Prell. She was one of the most girly characters that you've written, but she still wasn't that girly.

Me: Yep. :) So it seems like I should wrap things up now. Next week is Thanksgiving so I may or may not be doing a post. I might do one the day before, or the day after or something. We'll see. :)
Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!
